High School DxD Season 5: Possible Release Date & Renewal Status in 2022!

Only anime could have created such a fascinating harem series with angels and devils, but that is exactly what occurred. The anime series High School DxD has done just that over the course of multiple seasons! The anime is based on a series of light novels by Ichiei Ishibumi and Miyama-Zero that first debuted in 2008 and have subsequently been translated into English. The first season of the anime series was released in 2012, and it quickly became a sensation.

Issei Hyoudou, a second-year high school student who happens to be a bit of a pervert, is the protagonist of High School DxD. Hyoduo wishes to become a harem king and rule over a big number of women in his dreams. Unfortunately, the student is murdered by his first date, who reveals out to be a fallen angel in the end. In the end, Issei is resurrected from the dead by a devil named Rias Gremory, who also happens to be the cutest student in Issei’s school. Issei has been raised from the dead and is now working as an underling for Rias.

The audience loved High School DxD’s four seasons of paranormal adventure/comedy antics, as well as the show’s distinctive characters. It should come as no surprise that the series’ second installment is also in hot demand. As a result, it’s a good thing that the fifth season of High School DxD, as reported by The Cine Talk, has been announced. The following is everything we know about the fifth season of High School DXD so far.

High School DxD Season 5 Release Date

High School DxD Season 5 has yet to receive an official release date, which is disappointing news for fans of the show. According to The Cine Talk, the new season of the anime series was initially scheduled to release in 2020. The publication of COVID-19 threw a wrench in the works of those preparations, as it has with many other anime releases.

Ichieie Ishibumi, the creator of the original High School DxD light novel series, has confirmed that season 5 is still in the works, according to Otaku Kart. He also urged fans to keep buying and reading the light novel series, stressing that larger sales of the novel could help jumpstart the anime series’ production in the future if it is successful. According to the official website, if High School DxD Season 5 airs this year, it would most likely air during the fall anime season, maybe as early as October. If everything goes according to plan, the following season might premiere in 2022.

The cast for High School DxD season 5

The same animation studio team that worked on the previous season will almost probably return for Season 5. Studio TNK was in charge of the first three seasons of High School DxD, according to Season four, on the other hand, was directed by Yoshifumi Sueda and produced by Passione. The quick change in studios and artistic direction caught many fans off guard, and several were disappointed with it. Some fans were so outraged by the move that they started a petition to get the show returned to its previous format from seasons 1 through 3… Passione and Sueda are likely to continue to handle the animation for High School DxD Season 5 as well.

At this time, there is no official plot synopsis for season 5 of High School DxD. The anime series, on the other hand, has historically followed the same plot pattern as the light novel series, according to The Cinemaholic. Season 4 for example, followed the events in volumes 9 and 10 of the light novels. The action stepped up in the previous season when Issei and Sairong battled it out. Issei also utilized The Cardinal Crimson Promotion, a cool and massive power-up for his Scale Mail seen in this episode. Despite the fact that Issei and Rias eventually kissed in season 4, the season also featured some much-anticipated romance for viewers. In a nutshell, Season 4 delivered a lot while also appearing to be a satisfactory conclusion.

The plot of High School DxD season 5

Season 5 is planned to focus on an adaptation of the light novel series’ volumes 11 and 12, which is presently in development. This comprises Issei taking tests. The Middle-Class Advancement Test, which is a requirement for promotion to the middle class, will be faced by Issei. If Issei passes this exam, he’ll be ranked slightly above low-class in the Devil’s strength rating system, which is based on the Devil’s strength ranking system. But, in addition to the examinations, Issei will have to deal with Koneko, who has discovered Issei’s closeness to Rias and is furious.

When Season 5 finally airs, it appears that Issei and her companions will have plenty to keep them occupied.
